Trustees

Bright Red’s board of trustees is made up of a diverse mix of business professionals, nursing staff and haematologists. Appointed by invite only, the trustees meet 4 times a year to plan for the future and decide how the charitable funds are spent.

Our trustees include:

Mark Thompson, Chairman of Bright Red and Managing Partner at Ryder

Professor Matt Collin, Professor of Haematology at Newcastle University

Dr Gail Jones, Consultant Haematologist at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care

Charlotte Ord, Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care

Emily Graves, Consultant Haematologist at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care.

Supporting the trustees we have a group of Ambassadors. Our Ambassadors are either patients or relatives, and are committed to using their own experience to help our fight against blood cancer. This set up provides a balanced mix of individuals who ensure funding goes to where it is needed most.
