Chris Carey’s Story
Chris Carey was supported by Bright Red between 2012 and 2015, enabling him to travel as a visiting scientist to Harvard University, where he worked in the lab of Margaret Shipp and Scott Rodig.
As a result of this work he was awarded a PhD in 2015, and has published several papers on using new molecular tools to classify lymphoma and to understand the interactions between cells in lymph nodes affected by lymphoma.
In 2017 he was appointed as a Consultant Haematologist at Newcastle Hospitals, where he looks after patients with lymphoma and continues his work advancing molecular pathology.
