Bright Red Bike Ride

After the success of last years Bright Red Bike Ride, the four hardy riders who did the 700 miles from Lands End to Newcastle, incorporating the Coast to Coast. Not wanting to rest on their laurels they are looking to complete the Lands End to John O’Groats ride by doing the final leg from John O’Groats down to Newcastle.

On the final day of there journey they are looking for as much support as possible to join them cycling from Seahouses to the Newcastle Quayside.  In total the days ride will be just under 60 miles, it is a lovely cycle and mixed abilities are all able to take part.

We are once again looking for help in trying to exceed the fantastic total raised last year of just under £30,000 and they would like your assistance in achieving this. The money we raised has been put towards the funding of the first Bright Red Outreach Nurse, who will make a huge difference to those affected by blood cancers.

There are plenty of ways to help. You don’t have to be fit, just fit to help!

• Donate a prize to the silent auction which was fantastic last year, both in the quality of the prizes donated and the level funds raised from this source

Auction Prize Donations

Last year we had fantastic prizes including a weeks holiday in France, Spain and even Colarado, spa & golf days, together with theatre trips and signed t-shirts; to name just a few.

If you have anything, or know anyone who would donate a prize for the auction we and the patients at the Freeman Hospital would be enormously grateful.
