There are many ways in which you can contribute to Bright Red, all of which are listed below.

Cheques should be made payable to Bright Red and sent to Ward 33, NCCC, Freeman Hospital, NE7 7DN. We understand that sometimes it can take a while to collect sponsorship for events, however we encourage you to send cheques to us as soon as possible to ensure that we receive the donation. If you have a cheque which has passed the 6 months date, then we would be grateful if the cheque could be cancelled and reissued.

Regular giving

Increasing our regular income means we will be able to invest in more long term projects.

Over the next 5 years we want to;

  1. Employ another Bright Red Outreach Nurse
  2. Support more patients across the North
  3. Support clinic trials
  4. Increase educational funding
  5. Increase funding into research.

To help us achieve this we’ve launched our regular giving campaign, £5 for 5. You can sign up to a direct debit here.

Alternatively you could arrange a standing order. A standing order can be stopped or amended at any time. To arrange a standing order please complete the form and send it to Bright Red. We will then be able to reclaim the Gift Aid on your annual donations increasing your donation by up to 25%.

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables you to give to any UK charity straight from your gross salary (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated. It’s a really simple way to donate, providing your employer offers Payroll Giving. If you would like to set up Payroll Giving in your workplace please contact us.

If Payroll Giving is already set up where you work all you to do is complete a form, usually obtained from your Payroll or Personnel Department.

Your employer will forward your completed form to the PGA and deduct from your pre-tax salary the total amount you want to give.  Your donation is forwarded monthly to the PGA and they then distribute the gift each month to the charity or charities of your choice.

Debit Card Donation

It may be a cliché but every little really does help. We are a very small charity so any donation, big or small, is a huge help. These can be made by cheque, as detailed above, or via a debit card payment.

Gift Aid

I want all donations I’ve made to you in the past four years and all donations in future to be treated as Gift Aid donations until I notify you otherwise.
I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
We will claim 25p on every £1 you donate.

There is a problem with your payment –

Gift Aid

To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay an amount of UK Income and/or Capital Gains Tax, which is at least equal to the amount that we and all other charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC’s) will reclaim on your donations in each tax year (6 April to 5 April). Gift Aid is claimed at 25p per £1 of your support. NB Taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify for Gift Aid.

In order for us to reclaim gift aid on your donations we will need your permission to do so. You can do this by completing the one off donation form and forwarding with your donation.
