Our Trustees have recently awarded a grant of £6,000 to Newcastle University, helping fund a new PCR machine.
Applicant Dr Rachel Crossland explained ‘The qRT-PCR machine is essential for critical research conducted by 5 research groups within the Institute of Cellular Medicine. These groups span across two major research themes, with the ultimate aim of understanding the way in which haematological disease impacts on patients lives, and how we can develop improved therapies to better improve patients lives. The machine will also benefit current and prospective students, supporting their training and development by allowing hands on training in the fundamental molecular technique of qRT-PCR.
We are extremely grateful to Bright Red for their continued support.’
